Do you fancy being buried in 100% recycled paper? Then jump in the Ecopod. It’s the brainchild of Hazel Selina, who discovered that 89% of coffins are made from non-environmentally friendly laminated chipboard.

Hundreds of Ecopods have been successfully used throughout the UK since 1998. That’s not many in 10 years, but we’re here to celebrate low-impact technology and design, not run the numbers – and anyway, the Hunting Dynasty can take up the mantle.
